Common Eclipse terms: job, slice, coordinator, render node, GPU split, and more.
| Term | Meaning |

| Job | A render submission with frame range, engine, paths, and priority. |
| Slice | A contiguous frame range assigned to a farm worker for a job. |
| Coordinator | The farm service that plans slices and tracks workers. |
| Render Node | A machine (or GPU slot) that claims slices and renders frames. |
| Local queue | Jobs executed on the current workstation only. |
| Distributed | Mode that uses the coordinator and networked render nodes. |
| GPU split | Treating each GPU on a multi-GPU machine as a separate worker slot. |
| Spool | The farm process of creating and dispatching work for a job. |
| Shared root / project | Network path where scenes and outputs are visible to all nodes. |
| Insights | Statistics views for local and farm render activity over time. |
| Integration | DCC plugin or submit path (Houdini, Maya, Blender, Solaris). |
| Engine | Renderer used for the job (Redshift, Arnold, Karma, Cycles, …). |
