Connect to a coordinator

Point Eclipse and render nodes at your farm coordinator.

Distributed settings store the coordinator connection URL(s) artists and nodes use. The first-run Distributed flow can also walk you through enabling farm mode.

Steps

  1. Start the coordinator on a stable machine (or dedicated host).
  2. Copy the connection URL from coordinator settings.
  3. In Eclipse → Settings → Distributed (or the first-run wizard), paste the URL and test connectivity.
  4. On each render machine, install Render Node and use the same coordinator URL.
